The Shangla mine is famous for top quality rich green colour Emeralds. It also produces glass-like clarity. Shangla has very technical geology formation. The emeralds in Shangla are formed with the help of water. which increases its luster and they are old mountains. The process of emeralds in that area is old. Here is some glimpse of the area, emerald veins, rocks samples which we found on the ground during our tour. I will post another article for Mingora mine in which mountains are young and in process.
