Product Description
This is 35.5-gram natural Peridot fine mineral specimen with matrix from Kohistan, Pakistan. Dimension is of 44 × 40 × 23 mm. The weight is 35.4 grams. The specimen is in its natural form, with crystal surfaces and host rock still intact. It 100% naturally mined and untreated.
Appearance & Clarity
The specimen is with translucent body with strong green saturation and natural surface texture. The crystal has distinct growth lines and uneven natural faces, which are typical of peridot crystals that formed in place inside the host rock rather than being rounded by long transport.
Geological Highlights
This peridot belongs to the olivine group and crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. The attached matrix and rough contact zones suggest the crystal grew within fractures or pockets of its host rock and was later exposed during mining. The vivid green color is caused by iron within the olivine structure, a key feature of many Kohistan peridot crystals.
Best For
Ideal for mineral collectors, display collections, or anyone who wants a natural peridot specimen with clear geological character from one of Pakistan’s most recognized peridot-producing regions.
