Product Description
This green demantoid garnet on matrix has a multiple green andradite garnet crystals grown directly on their host matrix across the front and upper surfaces. Their flat, polygonal faces and roughly twelve-sided form are consistent with the dodecahedral habit commonly shown by andradite garnet, with a glassy to resinous luster and deep green coloration ranging from olive-green to vivid forest green.
The host matrix is a pale yellowish-green serpentinite with visible white calcite veining running through the base. The specimen is intact, with no repairs or reconstitution.

Collector Notes
Andradite garnets from Pakistan's serpentinite belts are documented in mineralogical literature as a distinct occurrence. This specimen have multiple growth points across the matrix surface, which is typical of the cluster habit found in this region. The green color in andradite is caused by iron content within the calcium-iron silicate structure.
