Kashmir sapphire mined from Batakundi Mind of Pakistan. Batakundi is under Azad Kashmir under control of the Pakistan side. This is quite a new variety of Kashmir Sapphire in purplish-blue. They give very very nice results after faceting.

Note for Gemstone Cutters: "Predicting the outcome of corundum from the Kashmir Valley is challenging. The appearance of the raw stone isn't always indicative of the final result; occasionally, unremarkable pieces produce beautiful VVS quality, while visually appealing rough stones may disappoint. Skill in faceting is crucial in managing this variability."
